This deliverable briefly describes the current state of imaging diagnostics and introduces the developments unique to ROVER, particularly the use of Ultra Wide Band (UWB) imaging and microwave systems employed to provide safe and effective medical imaging to the same and even better standard as those currently used, such as ultrasound scanners, planar X-ray, Xrays Computed Tomography (CT) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging (more commonly known as MRI), for Breast Cancer detection, the focus of this report. Associated clinical trials are also taking place.
